The Ten Directions Zen Community maintains practice locations in several areas throughout Greater Chicagoland. Please join us for meditation practice or special events at any of the following locations. Please visit the website of each individual group for detailed information on practice schedules and driving directions.

The West Suburban Group
As part of the Ten Directions Zen Community, the West Suburban Group will be meeting at the Theosophical Society in Wheaton on Tuesday nights. Practice begins with chants at 7:00 followed by sitting meditation, a reading and discussion. Please arrive on time as the door will be locked after 7:15. Situated in the heart of Lincoln Park Chicago, this group meets three times a week at the DePaul University Student Center. Lincoln Park Zen offers Introduction to Zen on the first Tuesday of each month, and extended practice each Saturday morning. Watch for upcoming dharma talks hosted by Lincoln Park Zen. Woodstock
The practice sessions and events at the diverse community of Woodstock Zen are open to the public. For newcomers, Woodstock Zen provides an introductory class for beginners on the first Sunday of each month. Weekly practice is held in Woodstock at the Congregational Unitarian Church, and in Island Lake at the residence of a Buddhist monk. The Peoria Zen Sangha is a group of people of diverse ages and backgrounds who practice Zen. Founded November 2002, the Peoria Zen Center follows the Kwan Um School of Zen, a branch of Korean Buddhism
based on the teachings of Zen Master Seung Sahn. We offer basic instruction to those who wish to begin a
