The Ten Directions Zen Community of Chicago sponsors or co-sponsors several events each year. These may
take the form of days of meditation, weekend retreats, or perhaps longer retreats.
All events are held at the Theosophical Soceity except for Change Your Mind Day and One-Day Events. There will be individual fliers for each event and there will always be information on the website regarding times and registration.
Two more opportunities
January 5th- April 4th Winter Kohl Che at the Providence Zen Center
Zen Master Soeng Hyang will be leading all of Kohl Che this winter. Take advantage of this opportunity to go to Providence and do some intense practice with our guiding teacher.
April 5 & 6th Buddha’s Birthday at the Providence Zen Center
During this weekend, following the end of Kohl Che, Zen Master Soeng Hyang will be installed as the School Zen Master for the Kwan Um School. It will be wonderful if a number of her students from the Chicago area can make the trip to be a part of this ceremony. We expect some people will be driving out - others flying. Lets start thinking now about how we can do this and also how we can give financial support to sangha members who need assistance in making this trip.
